Math-Tastix Camp Details
What: A mathematics-based summer camp following State of Alaska educational standards. Led by a certified local educator, these camps offer fun and engaging hands-on activities involving concepts of math, logic, strategic thinking, and collaborative practice. Additionally, art projects, journaling, and math applications in various subjects and careers are integral parts of this program.
Who: Curious kids entering grades 5-8.
Where: FOCUS Homeschool facility: 234 Front St #100, Fairbanks
When: Weeklong camp offered June 3 – August 9, 2024, 8 AM – 5 PM daily.
How Much: Pricing for this weeklong math-based summer camp is $350 for a full week, Monday – Friday. For the week of July 1-3, the price is $210 for Monday-Wednesday.
Why: To help your child grow their math abilities and confidence, build problem-solving skills, reduce summer learning loss, improve academic achievement, and grow good attitudes towards math by having fun in the process!

Math-tastix is an educational program focusing on learning mathematical concepts, logic, strategic thinking, and collaboration by upper elementary and middle-school students using hands-on activities, games, and puzzles. Additionally, subjects such as art, writing, career development, science, and social studies will be included as they relate to the math we are exploring.

Math-tastix does not cater to any single curriculum or method of teaching math, but strives to increase students’ understanding of mathematics and how it affects every area of life and career.
Although there are summer educational programs available in the Fairbanks area, Math-tastix uniquely focuses on understanding and applying math better!
